Bio
Ella Babakhanova is a contemporary artist and educator based in Miami, Florida. Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and raised in New York, she brings a rich cultural perspective to everything she creates and teaches. Specializing in mixed-media acrylic on canvas, Ella draws inspiration from modernist traditions, personal experiences, and the world around her—infusing her work with vibrant textures and dynamic compositions. Her art has earned recognition, including the Sunny Spaces Award from the City of Sunny Isles Beach in 2024.
In addition to her studio practice, Ella shares her love of creativity through teaching. With nearly six years of classroom experience as a teacher assistant and four years homeschooling her own children, she has developed engaging, discussion-based learning experience often integrating art as a transformative tool.
Ella now brings this expertise online through “Art for the Soul,” a live Zoom painting experience for teens and adults. These interactive sessions invite participants to explore their imagination, express emotions, and create original artworks in a supportive, reflective environment. She also created the Art Healing Journal, a guided resource that blends creativity, reflection, and hands-on exercises to inspire curiosity, confidence, and self-expression.
Her teaching style is warm, respectful, and student-centered, fostering a space where learners feel safe to experiment, connect, and grow—both intellectually and creatively.
